Logan’s Story: A perfect pregnancy after a missed miscarriage and two chemical pregnancies.

Hey Logan, tell us about your experience!

It’s been quite the journey! My husband and I started trying to get pregnant for about a year. And then right when we stopped tracking ovulation we got pregnant. Went in for my 10 week appointment for first ultrasound and found out we had a missed miscarriage. I decided to let my body naturally go through the process. Had a horrible experience with ob group so switched and then I had two chemical pregnancies after.
Got pregnant with my daughter and it was as smooth as can be. Didn’t have any hiccups along the way. Woke up one day past due date and just felt a little pressure and then within an hour my contractions became consistent one minute apart. Headed to Genesys thought I was going to give birth in car was in so much pain (I didn’t know what to expect as this was my first time with contractions). Got to doctor was dilated to a 4 and then 25 minutes later I was a 9! Was defiantly the ideal birth. Also I cannot say enough good things about women’s integrated. Love love love them.

What surprised you most about your conception, pregnancy, and/or birth journey?

The body is amazing. Not mentally knowing a single thing as a first time mom but somehow my body knew exactly what to do is mind blowing.

What tips or advice would you like to give other Mamas?

If you aren’t feeling heard there are so many other doctors that care!
Also channel your screaming into pushing/ holding my breath. I thought you had to scream based on movies but that’s defiantly not the case 😂

What does being a mother mean to you?

It’s a gift. It is very overwhelming at times but then I remind myself how hard we worked to get where we are. Sometimes taking breaks from social media help! It’s so easy to start comparing yourself to other moms. Time goes by wayyyy to fast.
